Grimm’s LS1 series of active loudspeakers is a remarkable feat of engineering, born in the professional studio yet equally at home in the most discerning listening room. Each model is a complete, self-contained system – DSP, digital-to-analogue conversion and Hypex Ncore Class D amplification all built in – so there’s nothing to match and nothing to add but a source. Every pair is individually calibrated at the factory to Grimm’s exacting Computer Aided Calibration standard for an exceptionally neutral, linear response, while a shallow cabinet and constant-directivity tweeter ensure wide, even dispersion and a wonderfully natural, room-filling soundstage.

The LS1 range offers a model for every room and budget. The LS1a is the accessible entry point, the LS1v2 steps up as the celebrated mid-tier monitor for critical listening, and the flagship LS1c sits at the very pinnacle – a reference-grade active system that needs only a line source to deliver a truly state-of-the-art performance.

For the deepest, most controlled bass, any LS1 can be partnered with Grimm’s subwoofers. The SB1 employs unique digital motional feedback to cut distortion by an astonishing 30 dB and place its resonance below 20Hz, while the LS1s transforms an LS1 or LS1a into a true three-way system.

Control is beautifully simple, via the LS1r remote controller, the LS1i USB interface, or one of Grimm’s own MU1 music players for a complete, all-Grimm system.
