T+A Music Systems

T+A – short for Theory + Application – is an esteemed German manufacturer, hand-building audiophile electronics and loudspeakers at its headquarters in Herford. For over forty years it has fused leading-edge technology with premium materials, meticulous engineering and beautiful design. While T+A is celebrated for its streaming sources, the very same expertise runs through its amplifiers, loudspeakers and headphones.

T+A R Series

If the idea of a single, elegant component that does it all appeals, the R-Series is T+A at its most convenient. The R 2500 R Multi-Source Receiver brings streaming, CD, FM and DAB radio, a USB DAC and even TV sound together in one substantial, beautifully built box, driven by a fully discrete, dual-mono amplifier developed from T+A's flagship HV engineering.

At its core is T+A's latest third-generation streaming platform, ASA G3, so you can stream from Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect and AirPlay 2; add a turntable with the optional phono stage, plug in the television – then simply add a pair of speakers. One box, hand-built in Germany, controlled from a single remote or the app, delivering a level of sound you'd never expect from something so refreshingly simple to live with.

T+A Series 200

The 200 Series is T+A's modern take on the compact system, distilling its high-end know-how into a family of beautifully made, three-quarter-width components you'll want on show rather than hidden away. Choose just what you need and build from there: the MP 200 G3 multi-source player for streaming, CD and radio; the DAC 200 DAC and preamplifier with its lovely retro VU meters; the A 200 stereo power amplifier, or the M 200 monoblocks for more power still; and the HA 200 for the dedicated headphone listener.

At its heart is T+A's latest third-generation streaming platform, ASA G3, bringing Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect and Apple AirPlay 2, native high-resolution and DSD streaming, and effortless control from the MusicNavigator app – and if you already own an MP 200, it can be factory-upgraded to G3, so your system stays ready for years to come. Each component is finished in black or silver anodised aluminium and links together to run as one. Small boxes that, to almost everyone who hears them, sound considerably bigger than they look.

T+A Amplifiers

Amplification has always been at the heart of T+A. At the summit, the no-compromise High Voltage (HV) Series – with its reference integrated, pre- and power amplifiers – represents some of the finest electronics money can buy.

Below it, the elegant Series 200 and R-Series amplifiers bring that same T+A sound into more compact, attainable form. A particular highlight is the Symphonia, T+A’s “Future of Retro” streaming integrated amplifier: a streamer, DAC, phono stage, FM/DAB tuner and a 125-watt-per-channel dual-mono Purifi power amplifier in one compact chassis with genuine analogue VU meters.

T+A’s loudspeakers are the culmination of more than four decades of speaker development. At the pinnacle sit the Solitaire speakers – statement floorstanders such as the flagship Solitaire S 540 – combining T+A’s unique magnetostatic tweeter and dispersion technologies. The Talis series follows as true works of art in aluminium, the Criterion speakers pair Solitaire thinking with T+A’s transmission-line bass in an Art déco-inspired form, and the Pulsar series brings flagship engineering into its most accessible, lifestyle-friendly speakers yet.

T+A Headphones

The Solitaire headphone range is a shining example of T+A’s engineering prowess. From the flagship Solitaire P planar-magnetic headphones through the more accessible Solitaire P-SE and Solitaire T, every pair reflects T+A’s meticulous attention to detail. Paired with a dedicated T+A headphone amplifier, they deliver a truly reference personal-listening experience.
